Let the critiquing begin . . .

Okay writers, all your queries are up! Super agent Nicole Resciniti will stop by some time by next Wednesday to comment on your query, and please don’t forget to leave your own comments on the queries of your fellow writers. You don’t have to be a participant in order to leave your constructive feedback. I’ll reveal if Nicole had any requests on my blog next Wednesday, Jan. 25th:) Until then, happy critiquing everyone!

P.S. Entrants,  if you notice any problems with your query, feel free to shoot me an e-mail so I can fix them. Thanks for playing! This contest was to celebrate 100 followers, and within the last week I’ve already had 50 more people follow my blog *big squeal

  1. Thanks so much for offering up such a great opportunity, Jamie! I’ve never done anything like this before, so really looking forward to reading the entries and receiving some feedback! 😀

  2. You girls are so welcome . . . thanks so much for the support! I didn’t even realize until after I posted that I’m up to 174 followers now:) *Big Smile!!!

  3. Okay, Ladies!

I’m here and let me say that I’m thrilled with the quality of queries posted here. I’ve read through each one and will post some comments shortly.

I thank you all for participating and Jamie–thank you for hosting this totally awesome event! You rock, girl. 🙂

Can’t wait to see your new YA when it is finished.
Okay, more to come in a few…

  4. Jamie,
I must tell you that aside from the invaluable opportunity this exercise has given us, it was a unique experience to be placed in the seat of the agent/editor by critiquing 20 + queries. It gave me perspective on what a modicum of one of their days is like reading these consecutively. I can kind of understand the “hows” and “whys” behind not getting more to work with in most rejection letters. lol. Thanks again 🙂

  5. Tuere, it really is interesting, isn’t it? I certainly couldn’t do their job! I only care about my story, lol. J/K . . . but for real, I wouldn’t have the patience for it, and I work with public school kids all day, lol:) Glad you got a lot out of it!
