Perhaps you’ve heard of a little site called Goodreads? Incase you’ve lived under a rock for the past few years, I’ll tell you it’s the website where readers go to register the books on their reading lists as either read, currently-reading, or to-read. I mention this because to kick of Week 3 of the Buccaneer Blogfest, we’re supposed to highlight the last 3 books we’ve read on our blogs today. It’s pretty easy to discover the answer to this question just by checking out my Goodreads site so if you’re interested, check out the linky link above:-) If you haven’t started your own Goodreads account, I encourage you to do so (and add me as your friend while you’re there!). I’ve found lotsa great book suggestions and discussions on this site. It’s such a fun way to keep track of what you read and to interact with other readers, even authors! Authors are like rock stars in my book and this summer I’ve had the chance to interact with some of my favs like Susane Colasanti and Meg Cabot. And it’s a great way to support the authors you love. Reviews on Goodreads are like the fresh fruit, rainbow sprinkles and hot fudge added to our literary fro-yo cups (sorry–I’m on a frozen yogurt kick this summer).
If you want to check out other rock stars, visit some of the bloggers below! And don’t forget to read a book today! I’m hoping to finish Wilde’s Army and delve deeper into Jinx. What’s on your bedside table or Kindle? Inquiring minds want to know:~)
This is a Blog Hop!

Hmm…last three books. I read Providence, Requiem, and Eden–all by self published author, Jamie McGuire. They were pretty good but she definitely needed an editor. 😉
Goodreads is really awesome. Before I got into blogging, I LIVED on that site in some of the writing groups. I still use it to keep track of my reading and TBR list, especially. It’s a great place to do reviews, as well.
Hmm, last three books I read: Cinder, Insurgent and The Fault in our Stars
I try and keep track of the books I want to read with Goodreads.
I’m not on Goodreads. Very weird when I think about it.
I really enjoyed Wilde’s story. Krystal will be on my blog later this week. Yay!
I should really try to get into doing Goodreads. I think I’ll like it a whole lot more than Twitter. 😛
I love your comment on my blog – is my name really Jade Hart 😉 lol. Yes! I was born in Hong Kong so my parents wanted to call me something that related to that cultural and my hubby’s name is Hart – which I obviously took. 🙂
I have name envy:-) You’re just too cool!
I hadn’t really thought about doing Goodreads until now, but I think I’ll go give it a look!
I think the last three I read were Radclyffe Hall’s classic The Well of Loneliness (need to get my own copy since I had to return it to the library before I was done, and I was really enjoying it!), Mal Peet’s Tamar, and Deborah Hopkinson’s Titanic: Voices from the Disaster. I was over halfway through the lattermost when I realized it was kind of written for a younger audience, not adults, but I enjoyed it anyway.
I’ll go friend you on Goodreads! I’m not as active there as a should be, but hopefully I’ll get there.
Well, we were already friends. 🙂 Yay.
I was pretty sure we’ve friends everywhere in cyberspace, lol
Umm… ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ is on my bedside table right now, but at the rate I’m reading it, that won’t be for long. (can you see me blushing all the way through the Internet?!) Next up after that is ‘State of Wonder’ by Ann Patchett, and I’m just finishing ‘Are you there, Blog? It’s Me Writer by Kristen Lamb–I really need to figure out this social media thing …
Goodreads, here I come!
Bared to You (not for the faint of heart but it was good!) 🙂 Fallen series book 1 and 2 but haven’t started them yet! Someday I’ll have Jamie’s book on my nightstand!!!!
